RECOMMENDATION FOR SUSAN HOPKINS
This letter is intended to serve as a college recommendation for Susan Hopkins who is my former student. Susan has been interested in obtaining a Master degree in Finance in MIT for some time now and I feel that she would be an excellent candidate for your esteemed program.
Susan is one of the best students I have met in my ten years of teaching. The academics at Cal State Los Angeles are most challenging, especially for accounting students, and Susan did an excellent job in all her major classes. She is a quick leaner and can always respond to questions by grasping the essential point.
Though I have known other students with talent equivalent to Susans, many of them lacked her good motivation and energy. I was really shocked when last winter quarter, she told me she was applying for the internship in Goldman Sachs since she had few classes that quarter and Finally she managed to enroll and she still got a 3.9 GPA in that quarter. She has also volunteered to teach English language in Tibet.
Susan has always impressed me by the high standards she set for herself and her endless enthusiasm about life. I know she does not only do well in school, but regularly attend social activities. However, she has not been active in sports although she usually attends to other social events during her free time.
Susan is also a master in Microsoft Office Sets, Oracle, ACL (Audit Command Language) and Information Searching by all kinds of browsers. Furthermore, she is Fluent in Chinese and English languages and also has basic knowledge in Shanghainese and Japanese.
